Having been in the industry for the last 22 years, both training and running salons, I decided to set up a training academy that put the students at the heart of it. I set up the London Hair Foundation with one single vision.

LHF is like no other training academy I have trained in before. Anyone can learn to cut hair, but at LHF we teach you the importance of precision cutting. This one week intensive course will take you through the techniques you need to know, which form the fundamental basis of all hairstyles. We will also teach you more advanced techniques such as slicing, chipping and razor cutting to personalize the finish of the cut to suit your client’s needs and face shape. We provide you with live models to work on, enabling you to have that important experience of working within a salon environment. Furthermore, we will take you through the consultation process which is vital to the success of any haircut. This course is suitable for people with no previous experience, or people wishing to refresh their hairdressing skills. If you are thinking of a career in hairdressing, whether that be setting up your own salon or becoming a mobile hairdresser, this course is ideal for you. As with all our courses, we aim to personalise them to meet your needs and give you on-going support in the future.
The colouring course at LHF is suitable not only for beginners but also for people wanting to refresh their colouring skills. This five day intensive course will take you through how the international colour code works, client consultation, choosing the correct colours/developers and product ranges available on the market. You will learn techniques such as full head colouring, foil highlights and lowlights, colour touch up and refreshing. We will also teach you colouring techniques suitable for your male clients, such as shoe shining and brush colouring. We will provide you with live models for you to work on so you get that all so important salon experience.
The wedding industry is immense, with the hairdresser being a crucial contributor to any bridal party. On this two day bridal hair up course, we will teach you both classic and more avant-garde styles, thus preparing you for any bride’s needs. You will learn some of the tricks of the trade such as; adding hair pieces; using fresh flowers and hair ornaments, as well as learning how to secure the style to ensure it will last all day.
We will also advise you on pricing structure, hair packages, how to market yourself and what you should include in your kit.
So if you are thinking of breaking in to the bridal hair industry this course is perfect for you.
This three day intensive course is suitable for those with no experience in barbering or people wishing to refresh their skills. Within these five days you will master the art of strong precision cutting, something that is crucial within the barbering industry. You will also learn excellent consultation skills and product knowledge along with clipper cutting, blending and graduation. We provide you with live models to nurture your new learnt skills. As with any of our course they are structured to your individual needs, whether that be setting up your own barbers or looking to work independently.

At LBF we take you through a step by step tanning routine to ensure an even and flawless tan every time. We will take you through the most popular tanning products on the market to give you a clear insight into the products you may choose and how to market them. The spray tan gun we provide you with takes any spray tanning formula which will again maximise your clientele. You will be made aware of contra-indications, client consultation and all pre/aftercare information. So if you are thinking of breaking into the world of spray tanning then this course is for you.
The LBF facial course takes you step by step through how to provide your clients with a professional, relaxing and result- based facial. You will be taught the importance of skin analysis along with how to give a good facial massage including how to cleanse, tone, exfoliate, and apply masks. This one day course at LBF will take you through the process of creating perfect acrylic nails for your clients. As with all our courses you will work on live models so you get that important salon experience.
The world of semi permanent lash on lash extensions is an ever growing industry. Learn to apply these well and your clientele base will grow and grow as will your income. This LBF one day intensive course will take you through how to apply a full set of lashes on a live model. You will also learn health and safety, contra-indications, after care/maintenance advice and removal. So this is just the course if you are wanting to get involved in the world of lash on lash extensions.
This 5 day combined beauty course is great value for those wanting to learn the skills of a beauty therapist. This course incorporates facials, lash/brow tinting, threading, manicure/pedicure, spray tanning and waxing. The LBF course will take your through product knowledge, client consultation, application processing including heath and safety and contra-indications. Learning the skills of professional waxing is a must for any beauty therapist. This one day course at LBF will take you through the techniques of waxing, hair growth patterns, skin diseases, health and safety and contra-indications. You will work on live models to ensure you get that vital salon experience and an idea of timings for each of the waxing procedures.
